SHERMANS "MARCH TO THE SEA"
|
Summary: The march to the sea was when Sherman took his army and marched down Georgia to Savanna then up the coast destroying everything in his path; most specifically burning everything down. He thought this was the only way to stop the south in the Civil War. This is what he thought total war was.
